Short bio

Lisa Dellmuth is Professor of International Relations at the Department of Economic History and International Relations, Stockholm University, and Co-director of the Stockholm Center on Global Governance (SCGG). She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Mannheim (2011). Her research examines international political economy, public opinion, and global governance, combining surveys, experiments, and statistical analysis to explain how citizens and elites form views on international cooperation. She currently leads "PROTECT: Protectionism in Place", an ERC-Consolidator Grant project on how local change shapes public support for protectionism. Lisa has applied International Relations theory to the area of climate change adaptation and her recent book in this area is "Corporate Climate Adaptation: Translating Complex Societal Risks into Business as Usual" (Cambridge University Press Element, 2026, with M.T. Gustafsson). Her work has appeared in journals such as the American Political Science Review, International Organization, and the Review of International Organizations.
