Welcome. I am Associate Professor of International Relations at the Department of Economic History at Stockholm University (SU) and a research associate at the Department of Political Science at SU. I am a comparative politics and international relations scholar.

Previously I held postdoctoral fellowships at the Department of Political Science at SU and the Stockholm Resilience Centre. I received my PhD in political science at the University of Mannheim in 2011. Find out more in my CV.

My research examines fiscal policy and inequality, transnational actors in global governance with an emphasis on global environmental governance, and legitimacy in global governance. My work has appeared in journals such as the European Journal of Political Research, British Journal of Political Science, Review of International Organizations, and European Union Politics. I occasionally write posts for outlets such as the LSE European Public Policy blog, see e.g. blogs on 'EU Funding Policies May Be Undermined' and 'How 'European' Citizens Feel'. My research has been supported by grants from funding institutions such as the Swedish Research Council, Horizon 2020, the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation, and the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research (Mistra).

I have been elected convenor of the steering committee of the Standing Group of International Relations (SGIR) of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) from March 2016 to March 2018. I am an associate editor of Political Studies and an editorial board member of Interest Groups & Advocacy.
